Dr. Jian Wang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, and the Ph.D. degree from Korea University, Korea, in 2006, 2009, and 2013, respectively. After graduation, he held positions as postdoc and assistant research professor at Rutgers University, Duke University, USA, and Seoul National University, Korea. Since 2017, he has been with the School of Data Science, Fudan University, China, where he is currently an associate professor. His research interests include

  • deep learning theory

  • computer vision and color anslysis

  • graph convolutional networks (http://fdu-iis-gnn.info)

  • sparse and low-rank recovery

  • self-driving automobile

  • The relevant mathematics includes statistical theory, applied linear algebra, convex optimization, and information theory. He was nominated to the 2016 Young Author Best Paper Award in the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
